  • Richard C. Bramwell, Sr.
    Sr. – Chairman

    Richard C. Bramwell, Sr. is the Chairman and Founder of Shinda Management Corporation. He has over 40 years of real estate management experience. He began his career as a manager of various properties, most notably, Rochdale Village, a 5,800 unit New York State Mitchell Lama Cooperative located in Southeast, Queens, New York. A management professional, he has overseen every conceivable type of real estate property from two family units to over 6,000 units. As a licensed real estate broker, he has been instrumental in the management, sale, packaging, purchase, and refinancing of commercial properties. He is a graduate of Hofstra University and holds various certificates from New York University and Pace University.

  • R. Christopher Bramwell
    Jr. – President

    R. Christopher Bramwell, Jr., is an accomplished real estate professional with over 20 years of property management and development experience. He is an expert on “turning around” distressed properties.

    He has a proven track record in the residential and commercial real estate industry, having managed multi-family properties including LIHTC, Project Based Section 8, Section 202, Mitchell Lamas and Mixed Use. His experience includes financial performance analysis to ensure that each housing company is operating at optimum levels. He spearheads and sets the direction and goals of the Executive Staff.

    In addition, he is responsible for Shinda’s real estate development activities including acquisition, financing and construction. His leadership has resulted in the completion of over $300 million in real estate investments within New York State.

    Notably, he is a founding member of the New York Real Estate Chamber, Inc. (NYREC) and is an active member of the New York State Association for Affordable Housing (NYSAFAH). He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration from the State University of New York at New Paltz.

  • Lisa Walker
    Executive Vice President

    Lisa Walker is the Executive Vice President of Shinda Management Corporation. As the Executive Vice President, she is responsible for carrying out the strategic direction of the company by overseeing operations, developing functional roles, and assigning responsibilities to capable employees. She oversees and monitors the planning, implementation and evaluations of Shinda’s programs and services.

    Her responsibilities include maximizing housing companies’ rental income potential by enforcing the company’s strict rent collection policy, monitoring vacancy reports whereby ensuring prompt rental of units, and ensuring that all subsidy programs such as Project Based Section 8, RAD, NYCHA, HPD and HCR Section 8 Voucher programs are operating at optimum levels. She ensures that our rent stabilized portfolio is in strict compliance with the rules and regulations of the New York State Rent Stabilization Code. She is responsible for our LIHTC portfolio and ensures strict compliance with Section 42 of the I.R.S. Code. Moreover, she ensures that reporting requirements of our clients, syndicators, investors and local, state and federal monitoring agencies are strictly adhered to. She is responsible for all “rent ups” and “first year” LIHTC files.

    She has been in the real estate property management business for over 25 years and holds such real estate industry certifications as NCHM Tax Credit Specialist Certification, Spectrum C3P Certification, Quadel AHM Certification, Ross EIV Certification and HUD AFHM Certification.

  • Kenneth Cohen
    Director of Management

    Kenneth Cohen, the Director of Management for Shinda Management Corporation has over 40 years experience in the real estate property management business, He oversees the day to day physical operations of our sites to ensure its upkeep. On a daily basis, he corresponds with our Area Supervisors to ensure that all requests are being addressed in a timely fashion and that each site is engaged in a preventative maintenance program. He works very closely with outside architects and engineers to develop plans and specifications required by the housing company. He also oversees all major capital improvements, weatherization grants, code compliance, and ensures that all properties are ready for the various inspections requested by Federal, State and Local agencies and syndicators. He heads our REAC Inspection Department which has been instrumental in obtaining favorable REAC scores for each of our housing companies. He is a graduate of Brooklyn College and holds various certifications from New York University in Construction Management. In addition, he was a lecturer at New York University School of Real Estate.

  • Russell Bramwell
    CPA – Controller

    Russell Bramwell has served as the Controller for Shinda Management Corporation since 2003. He oversees financial planning, budgeting, financial statements and internal controls for all housing companies. In addition, he oversees our Insurance Department to ensure that the appropriate levels of insurance coverage are in effect for each housing company.

    His expertise includes developing and maintaining timely and accurate financial statements that are in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). He has implemented an internal control policy to ensure that risks are minimized. In addition, by following sound budgeting practices, he has the ability to maximize income and reduce expenses.

    He holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Morris Brown College and a Master in Accounting and Financial Management from Keller Graduate School of Management. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant and licensed Real Estate Broker.

  • Malcolm W. Rivera
    Assistant Controller

    Malcolm W. Rivera is the Assistant Controller for Shinda Management Corporation. He is the head of our Accounts Receivable Department and the Payroll Department. He oversees daily monetary transactions that involve upwards of $5 million per month. His fiduciary responsibilities include the oversight of all payroll functions.

    He has expertise in the HUD recertification and vouchering process to ensure the complete and timely subsidy payments for more than 25 housing companies. These housing companies include Project Based Section 8, Section 202, RAP, PRAC and RAD contracts.

    He ensures the timely and accurate processing of all transactions that affect residential and commercial accounts. He is responsible for generating financial reports for owners, executives, governmental agencies and syndicators allowing them to make prudent financial decisions.

    In addition, he serves as the liaison between our Property Managers and the central office to address and resolve any accounts receivable concerns.

    He has been with Shinda Management Corporation for over 25 years.

  • Alvin Chin
    Director of Finance

    Alvin Chin joined Shinda Management Corporation, as the Director of Finance, in 2005. He oversees the bookkeeping functions including maintenance of the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll. He also manages cashflows and budget forecasting and is responsible for the review of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports. He serves as the liaison between our Accounting Department and external auditing firms.

    He has an extensive background in real estate, accounting, finance, and management, with over 25 years in financial management. He is a graduate of Bernard M. Baruch College and holds a Master of Business Administration in Management and Accounting.
